Bleaching the teeth is not recommended over a period of time as it can harm the surface of the teeth and weaken the teeth generally - although it is cheap you may eventually will pay the price by needing major restorative dental work.

Using bleaching gels in this way may not work for certain types of discolouration, such as that caused by metal fillings or damaged blood vessels inside a tooth. You should always consult a dentist before using teeth whitening kits as there may be a more cost effective solution on offer and your dental health should be taken in to consideration.
